Having great recording artists is obviously essential in having a good record company.

Despite the huge number of artists out there and also in light of us having a fair number of commitments already, we are still very interested in hearing your music if you think it's good (and clearly you do!).

There are many ways to get your music to us but to be perfectly honest, the best way is by sending a CD to our P.O. Box, which is listed on the contact page. That is what the box is there for and the real truth is hardly anyone uses it, so you have a chance to make some real impact with a submission there. There is always myspace or mp3s but those things tend to keep you stuck in front of a computer, don't they, whereas a CD can go in the car, on the stereo, anywhere! Don't worry about the artwork or about sending a jewel case or some commercial or fancy copy of any kind. Actually, I would almost rather get a burned copy than something which has been manufactured properly because I hate to think that people are losing potential sales by sending those. But that is up to you.

Like I said, there is always myspace but please pay attention to this: we try to listen to everything that passes us in myspace but it is just so overwhelming with the number of friend requests we get. We have no way of knowing when we receive a friend request what the intent is on the part of the "friender", do they want us to listen or do they "just want to be friends"?! Please, if you want us to listen to your music in myspace, please send a private message (not a comment!) making it clear that you are not a computer program which has written a form letter, but a real person who preferably has at least a vague knowledge of the label and/or a sincere desire to be heard by us.

Let me be very clear about this: people who are interested in making electronic dance music of any kind are much better off friending us up at the Hyptone myspace page. Or use the P.O. Box!!
